    The Value of Scripture

    • Isaiah 40:8- Scripture and its truths will outlast everything. It is permanent.
    • Psalm 119:105- God’s Word gives us knowledge to see things we previously didn’t know existed on our path.
    • Acts 17:10-12- We should not listen to others speak about Scripture without taking responsibility to study it and learn about it ourselves.

Why are there so many translations? Which translation is the right one to use?

Translators wrestle with whether to translate the words or the ideas. Some translations are word for word, others communicate the idea but not necessarily the specific words, and some use a balanced perspective by translating the words and ideas. Keep in mind that each translation is committed to the same truth.

How accurate is the Scripture I am reading?

We can be very confident knowing that the translations most Christians use are very accurate.
